Burmese Junta announced referendum approved, but with absolute zero credibility

Latest AP news said, Burmese Military Junta has announced that, draft constitution was approved by, 92.4 percent of 22 million eligible voters.

Burmese people were forced to vote at gun point, under supervision of club wielding pro Junta Thugs. But the credibility of the outcome of Junta guided Referendum was washed away with Cyclone Nargis.

Do not make a mistake that this blogger is politicising the humanitarian issue of a catastrophic disaster. The truth was,the fact that Junta had stubbornly continued with so called their road map to disciplined democracy, by refusing to postpone the date of referendum.International community have witnessed , with shock and awe, how was a catastrophic national disaster, being managed by Generals.

It is also catastrophic disaster for them as the whole world was well aware that hundred thousand Burmese people were dead, thousands more were missing,and million were homeless. Cyclone survivors especially children were dying due to hunger and disaeses everyday.

Latest local news said, the Generals have been making decisions, according to their sooth Sayer’s advice. Most Burmese believe that news was credible . Few months ago, after Saffron Revolution, Burmese Senior General Than Shwe was said to be seen by people walking around a pagoda following a pig holding a dangling rope. That was according to his sooth Sayer advice, called Yadaya that was to avoid the bad omen for him. This rumors was spreading among Burmese people for last few months.Some analysts believe that, Military Junta intentionally spread the rumors to confuse Burmese people, as a part of their psychological warfare.

This time his sooth sayer alleged prediction was;

အေနာက္ႏိုင္ငံသားစစ္စစ္ အျဖဴစစ္သားတစ္ေယာက္ဟာ စစ္၀တ္စံုအျပည့္နဲ႕ လက္ရွိအခ်ိန္ကာလအတြင္း ၂၀၀၈မွာ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံျမိဳ႕ေတာ္အတြင္းကို ေျခခ်ေရာက္ရွိလာခဲ့ရင္ …. စစ္အာဏာရွင္မ်ား ဘုန္းကံေရာ ၊ ရွိသမွ် အေဆာင္အေယာင္ အာဏာမ်ားအားလံုး က်ဆင္းျပီး ေန၀င္ခ်ိန္ ေရာက္ကိုေရာက္ရလိမ့္မယ္ ……..

The simple translation of prediction is if a westerner or a white man with full Military Uniform arrives Burma in the year 2008, it will be the end or dooms day for the Military Junta of Burma.´

This time there is no Yadaya to avoid the bad omen, his Sooth Sayer says;

Burmese people believe that, it was the main reason why Military Junta was denying the help of international experts who were with the uniforms to enter Burma, while thousands were desperately waiting for the help. The issue here is to believe, or not to believe these news, however, these news tells all of us that, Burmese Junta is as desperate as Cyclone victims, for the different purpose. That is to stay in power forever. The sequence of illogical decisions during major crisis demonstrated the intensity of desperation of Military Junta.

This blogger strongly believes that the credibility for the outcome of referendum, will be absolute zero, as everybody knows that million of Burmese people were starving, sick and thousands were dying, during the period of referendum.

Military Junta has discredited the referendum by themselves . They have refused to postpone the polling date, while the country was facing the worst disaster in Burmese history.

However, those ( countries) willing to recognize the unjust outcome of the recent Referendum in Burma, will be seen by the whole world, as the same species like the Generals, who were ready to walk around the pagoda behind the pigs for their survival !
