Death toll touches 10,000, Burmese Disaster turned into major Catastrophe

Hopelessness, Fear, Frustration, Restless, Desperation, Anger, Sadness, ,…what words will be best suit for the Burmese people those who were trapped inside the world’s biggest Jail.

For anxious relatives outside Burma, the lack of transparent information is main problem as most of them have no idea of what is the real situation of their loved ones.

There were accusation in blogosphere that internet and telecommunication repair job were intentionally delayed as Junta is afraid of spreading the news of real catastrophe to outside world.

Burmese people have faced brutal suppression and torture by the most ruthless regime of this earth. They were poor and hungry even before the Cyclone struck the coast of Burma, due to corruption and mismanagement of their rulers.

Now 6million people of Rangoon including this bloggers relatives are in a city without electricity, clean water. Most of them might be sitting in the darkness with fear and anxiety, while this blogger is writing this post in comfort of a citizen of free world . Frantic calls to their cell phones were without answers for more than 2 days.

Thousands of villages and small towns in Delta, suffered extensive damage and human causality. How do these poor villagers cope with death, hunger and diseases?

Initially Burmese Junta said 4 dead, then 11, then 350, then 4000, and by the time this blogger writing this post, Burmese authorities ‘official body count rose to 10,000. Latest news said international aid groups are allowed to help Burmese people!

Why was Junta too slow to respond to the Disaster of this kind of scale? Today morning news from Burma said Junta will continue with planned referendum on 10th of May. Is the Junta guided Referendum more important than life and welfare of million of people, who need immediate help.?

Pathetic! These kind of people claimed that they are the only people who know how to run Burma.

Where are the USDA pro junta thugs, ready t beat those who dare to speak up against Junta?

Finally, where is General Than Shwe, who ruled the country with iron grip, to say something to people in world’s biggest jail?
