Internet Speed slowed down and New Cyber City Closed down in Burma.

According to the local sources Internet speed has been slowing down in Burma by the Internet Service provider in recent days.

The military Government has ordered the government spies to monitor the Internet Cafes in Rangoon. An Anonymous user said “Somebody was watching from behind while surfing Internet”.” The owner of the Internet Cafe told me not to surf Internet if somebody was standing behind me”.

The same source said Internet connection speed in Rangoon was too slow, as almost impossible to surf the web. Another trouble was unreliable electricity which usually cause damage to the hard-wares of the Computers, as in the most areas of Rangoon, Electricity was regularly irregular.

Most of the Internet Cafes were unable to run with electric generators as the price of petrol and diesel  were too high to make a profit.

At the same time ” The Cyber City Center”near May Myo ( Pyin Oo Lwin) which was officially opened a couple of weeks ago was closed down again. According to a local source ” They have taken back all the computers and IT equipments from the Buildings after the Official opening Ceremony. Now the road leading to the new Cybercity was blocked at the entrance” the source said to an on-line Burmese news.
