Burmese Junta announced referendum approved, but with absolute zero credibility

Historic Moment

Latest AP news said Burmese Military Junta announced that draft constitution was approved by 92.4 percent of 22 million eligible voters.

Burmese people were forced to vote at gun point, under supervision of club wielding pro Junta Thugs. But the credibility of the outcome of Junta guided Referendum was washed away with Cyclone Nargis.

Do not make a mistake that this blogger is politicising the humanitarian issue of a catastrophic disaster. The truth was Junta had stubbornly continued with so called their road map to disciplined democracy by refusing to postpone the date of referendum.International community has chance to see with shock and awe, how Burmese Generals have managed a catastrophic national disaster . Difference perspectives, Junta’s media news for Burmese after Cyclone nargis, and the reality

Burmese people were forced to rely on local Government Newspapers after Cyclone Nargis disaster as most of the effected ares were without electricity. Internet and phone connections were damaged by Cyclone.

Following pictures are from handful of Military Junta controlled Newspapers for Burmese people to see!

Compassionate Generals donate everything to Cyclone Victims

Everything is according to Law and Order, don’t worry, we can take care all of you!

We don’t need international experts, we have know how, and even there are TVs and Videos in refugee camps!

What we see here…

Why should we see a name of General over International Aid package?

Villagers seems to be trying to communicate with outside world!

Struggling just to get some bananas!

No TV and Video, please help us before another Cyclone wipe out our hut!

There is a saying “Seeing is believing”. However Burmese people never believe what they have seen from Junta controlled newspapers.

The latest Satellite Image at 7:00GMT

2hours, 46 minutes ago AP News

BANGKOK, Thailand - The U.N. says another cyclone in forming near Myanmar, which was devastated by a killer storm earlier this month.

U.N. spokeswoman Amanda Pitts couldn’t say where the landfall would be or when it would become a full-fledged cyclone.

She told reporters Wednesday that “the chances of it (cyclone) happening is good.”

She said the information about the possible cyclone came from the Joint Typhoon Warning center, which is part of the U.N.’s World Meteorological Center.

(Even if the land fall is not going to be inside Burma, authority should be proactive this time as continuous rain and flood may happened the disaster relief works, delayed due to red tapes and selfishness of Military regime )

Latest update news said, that the Cyclone is probably going to the same path again. Please pray for Million of Burmese people who are still waiting for help after Cyclone Nargis. Among them are hungry children, sick and hungry people living in makeshift huts, surrounded by water. There are volunteers risking their own lives to help cyclone victims. This blogger’s close relatives are among the volunteers, and hope all of them are safe and the new Cyclone path may change its direction towards Nay Pyi Taw .

Burmese Generals refused expert help, see with your own eyes to decide

A friend of this blogger who is also a non Burmese reader of this blog criticized him for posting the dead victims of Cyclone Nagis photo.

This blogger understands feeling and sentiments of both readers and survivors of Cyclone. The utmost consideration, and brain storming was done before posting the photos of dead children .

With due respect to dignity of dead victims, this blogger wants readers to know that all of you are dealing with one of the worse regimes on this earth. Because of these photos, the plight of survivors spread to international readers. This blogger personally received numerous calls and emails from those who want to help Burmese people after seeing these photos.

Now this blogger has decided to post another youtube video, showing dead victims in Labbuta town. The post is to counter the latest wire news saying

Myanmar rejects US, UN pressure on aid

According to AFP news”The nation does not need skilled relief workers yet,” Vice Admiral Soe Thein said in the New Light of Myanmar newspaper, a mouthpiece for the military which has ruled the nation with an iron grip for nearly half a century.

See with your own eyes to decide whether Burmese people need skill relief workers or not.

US Plane has landed, but Burmese Generals shamelessly exploiting the Cyclone tragedy

This blogger tried to check Myanmar Government Official Website (www.myanmar.gov.mm)

to see what Myanmar Government has to say about the recent Cyclone Tragedy, but nothing was there, nothing at all about Catastrophic Disaster in Myanmar!

Again he tried to read the on line Myanmar News paper, New light of Myanmar, which automatically directed to www.myanmar.com, however newspaper updates were abruptly stopped on 2nd may, (this web page is believed to be from US, mirror site for Myanmar Generals.)It seems that the web master has no important news after 2nd of May! Only Image of Than Shwe welcoming Thein Sein back home from a trip to Thailand.

Finally this blogger tried MRTV3 homepage, from Nay Pyi Taw, the Jungle capital of Myanmar. After waiting for 35 minutes, this blogger was able to read the following news from today New Light Of Myanmar Newspaper !.

The above news in Burmese language said PM Gen Thein Sein Inspecting the transfer of International aids to boats at a Jetty in Rangoon. Recent local news said Thein Sein was even shown in TV footage carrying donated aids boxes to army helicopters by himself. Is that a Job of Prime Minister in National Emergency?

When this blogger was in Burma as a child, this job of checking workers carrying cargo to boats along Irrawaddy river was done by the clerks of river boats.

(သေဘၤာစာေရးတေဃာက္ထဲ နဲ႔ႁပီးပါတယ္။)

Burmese Generals were even not fulfilled their duty as soldiers, that they were trained for, in recent Cyclone Disaster. Useless in pre-, during, and post- disaster management, poor logistic, and infrastructure of Burmese Army was obvious to the whole world as there were no soldiers to be seen immediately after Cyclone.

There were no heavy machinery like cranes, bulldozers from army engineering units during Rangoon cleaning. Air Force and navy transport capability was ridiculous for the army boasted with 400,000 soldiers.

However, the Generals seems to know , how to put their name over international aids consignments. While blocking international aids, that cause the long Que of air crafts and ships from donor countries waiting in neighbouring countries, the Generals were shamelessly exploiting the goodwill of civilized people of all over the world towards Burmese Cyclone victim.

This blogger’s last question is ‘ where is junta supremo Sr Gen Than Shwe of Burma ?

1 hour, 15 minutes ago

YANGON, Myanmar - A Red Cross boat carrying rice and drinking water for cyclone victims sank Sunday, while the death toll jumped to more than 28,000 and aid groups warned of a humanitarian catastrophe.

The double-decker boat that sank was carrying supplies for more than 1,000 people and was the first Red Cross shipment to the disaster area, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said. All four relief workers on board were safe, it said.

“This is a great loss for the Myanmar Red Cross and for the people who need aid so urgently,” said Aung Kyaw Htut, the distribution team leader of the Myanmar Red Cross.

The sinking was the latest setback for distribution of aid following Cyclone Nargis. Though international aid has started to trickle in, almost all foreign relief workers have been barred entry into the isolated nation. The junta says it wants to hand out all donated supplies on its own.

Time for humanitarian intervention, Burma Cyclone Crisis

Within last two hours, wire news were sending mixed messages from Burma. Initial report was UN halted aids, then resumed, probably with Junta’s conditions. The message was very clear to all out there to help Burmese people; that is, Military Junta does not care for the Million of lives.

Their priority is to stay in power forever. All Burmese who’s mouth are able to open and speak because there are lucky enough to be away from Burma, agree that this is the high time for UN to lead the humanitarian intervention.

Tragic photo of Cyclone Victims of Burma, Mother cried for the children

This blogger is very upset after seeing the enlarged photos of dead bodies of three children tied together, because their parents were afraid that they might be swept away by the high tide during (12 feet, wind speed 190 mile/hr)the onslaught of Cyclone Nargis.

A comment in CBox of Blogger Klosayhtoo said

Mother.. I was crying when I saw the bodies of three brothers tied together to prevent them from being swept away by tidal waves!

Tragic untimely death, Photos of Cyclone Nargis Victims

This blogger does not want readers to see the dead victims of Nargis Cyclone. Most of them were decomposed and some were very young children. The purpose of this link with due respect to the dead, and their loved ones, is for all the readers, to pray for the deads as well as those are still alive but struggling for survival.

Another important reason for this post is Military Junta of Burma has declined to accept the International Aids and emergency disaster helps that could save, several thousand lives for their own selfish paranoid delusion. So please help Burmese people . linletkyalsin is a very outstanding blogger and activist from Singapore and you can find the group accepting donation and update of donation in her blog.
